Our History

Chow Restaurant was started by Ethan’s Father, Beh Chow Lee, in Hong Kong. Starting off as a small store less than 100 square feet, with only 4 tables and 7 wooden chairs, Chow was able to build his business and feed his family with his profits, eventually moving to Singapore to start a new life with his family. With over 20 years of culinary business experience, and carrying on his Father’s legacy, Ethan is now heading Chow Restaurant’s operations as its general manager.

Joining him is his Uncle, Lee Kin Swoon, who has been head chef at many established locations such as Intercontinental Hotels, Marina Bay Sands, and IndoChine. With his knowledge of chinese treats, tastes and fusion food, he aspires to take Chow Restaurant to the next level.

Despite the recent liquor restrictions, Chow Restaurant has an alcohol license, and operates a fully functional bar at night. Head bartender is Mark Ho, who is a rising young upstart in the cocktail space, and is able to hold his own at the bar himself. Being brought up in a traditional Chinese family, Mark is well versed in the different types of Baijiu, Pijiu and other Asian liquors that can be purchased even from mainland china.
